Lovin’ Machine Shops – It’s the Founders way!

December 8, 2010

Cindy Donaldson, Director of Marketing & Personal Lines Sales - Founders Insurance Group

Every company has a niche – or at least they should. A niche is something you specialize in, something you excel at, something you are known for. At Founders Insurance Group we have a few – Machine Shops are one of them.

Machine Shops might not sound too exciting to you, but to us they are incredibly exciting! Manufacturing has been dwindling over the past several decades in the US – just take a drive through any urban area and you will see an abandoned factory building or two.  In Connecticut, machining and tooling shops are not only surviving but thriving and Founders Insurance is protecting them!

Founders has a unique partnership with General Casualty Insurance and the Connecticut Tooling and Machining Association (CTMA). We offer a great insurance program to machine shops that are a part of the CTMA including dividends on their Workers’ Compensation. We actually deliver checks back to our clients – which is always great fun for the owners to do!

Take a moment to view a video with one of our CTMA clients – Chris Laveiri from Sterling Engineering. Also in the video you will see Cheryl Fuhr our Commercial Lines Manager and one of the key point people at Founders on the CTMA program.

Yes, we are lovin’ Machine Shops!
