Founders Insurance Group has several thousand clients in Connecticut, New York City and twelve other states. The fact is that not everyone that purchases insurance fits the profile of a Founders Insurance Group client. People buy insurance for different reasons. Some buy it only because they legally have no choice. Some buy it without any concern for coverage. Some buy it because they found an advertisement funny or charming. Some people buy insurance based solely on the price without consideration for the quality of the coverage, claim service or company reputation.


So, just what type of client chooses to do business with Founders?

The majority of our clients come to Founders by way of referral. Our existing clients are often our best source of new clients. We are very fortunate that these clients feel strongly enough about their experience with Founders that they are willing to recommend us to their friends, family and business associates.

A Founders client is someone that seeks the advice and relationship from an individual that is highly trained in insurance products and coverage while not beholden to any particular insurance company. Our clients want to be treated as a client, not just a number. A Founders client knows that a relationship means more than fifteen minutes and a credit card number.

A Founders client seeks a competitive rate but also understands that the proper coverage at the time of a loss is paramount. They want a firm that will not skimp on those coverage’s just to give the illusion of a cheap rate. Our clients are looking for a firm that will stand by them when they are having a claim, and not just there to collect a premium check. A typical Founders client understands that all of the assets that they have ever worked for should be protected with intelligent conversations that go beyond a catchy jingle, a cartoon or silly reptile.
