Food for your Neighbors

We are reaching out to our friends and families to help those in need. The United Way of Northwest Connecticut is running their annual “Food for Your Neighbors” campaign. Our goal is to collect enough food to carry our area food banks through the winter. Food collected will remain in towns where collected, and will be distributed to FISH, Friendly Hands Food Bank, Fishes & Loaves in Canaan, and Winsted and Torrington Salvation Army Food Banks.

Drop off dates – Now until March 15th

Items can be dropped off at both the Torrington and Lakeville Founder’s Offices from 9-5:

1300 Winsted Road, Torrington

12 Millerton Road, Lakeville

Here are some items that the food banks and shelters are requesting:

Canned Goods: Boxed Side Dishes:
Fruits, Meats
Pasta & Sauce

Pork & Beans

Rice, Potatoes
Side Helpers
Mac & Cheese


Soups, Tuna Peanut Butter & Jelly
Juices, cocoa, tea
Coffee & creamer
Breakfast Items:
Instant Oatmeal
Boxed Cereals
Dry Goods:
Paper products

Paper towels

Cake Mixes Baby food
