About

Welcome to the Founders Forum Blog – a collection of writings, opinions and facts about independent insurance agencies – our trials, our triumphs and what the public should know about our industry.

The Founders Insurance Agency, a division of Assured SKCG, inc., is an independent insurance agency with a strong presence in Connecticut, we have two offices in Lakeville and Torrington. Our services include:  commercial insurance,  personal lines including home and auto,  and health and life benefit coverages.  Founders Platinum Division caters to those with specific needs such as fine art and antique collections, historic, second and high value homes, vintage automobiles, jewelry, larger watercraft and aircraft .

As insurance counselors, our focus is not only on the accuracy of the policy but more importantly on the client.  Our mission is to ensure that each and every client  receives the best knowledge regarding their potential risks and the best coverages to divert those risks.  The insurance industry is changing, as are the buying habits of the public and because of that we at Founders are in a constant state of motion.  This forward thinking has allowed us to become the premier agency in  Connecticut and has also allowed us to thrive in a time when many companies are struggling.  This blog is a venue that will allow us to educate the public and our clients as to the benefits of working with an independent agency – and also allow others to voice their opinions.

Check back often and enjoy!

Fantastic job. I have shared “insurance and social media” commentary with my insurance clients. Appreciate it–good luck!

It surely is a hot topic in our industry. Some see the value and some think it’s fluff – I guess only time will tell! I’m running with the value.
      Thanks for reading!

    Cindy,
WOW… What a GREAT blog! I too work at an insurance agency and focus on their marketing. I have been looking for a way to break into the social media world with my agency, but wasn’t quite sure the first steps to take. (It’s one thing to put yourself out there – quite another when you represent your company). I look forward to catching up on the things I’ve missed and can’t wait for the upcoming posts. I think our thoughts are on the same page.

    Best,
    Courtney
